We all know the importance of tinting windows. The benefits of tinting by window films include the safety of your car against burglars, fading interiors and your safety from sun and harmful UV rays. Also, the chances of glares and reflections from other vehicles leading to accidents cease by applying window films in your car. And if you are looking forward to some privacy in McHenry, nothing can be better than applying window films!

Types of window films we use at Window Genie Tinting & Cleaning:

    Dyed Film
Dye is one technology that absorbs heat. Thus many window films are dyed in order to absorb heat and ceasing its movement inside the car. Our experts would advise you to go for dyed films in case your main aim is to avoid heat, but they never recommend interior dyed film on the thermal glass. This is because thermal glass is double glazed and doesn?t allow the air to move between the panes.

Another process that comes under dyed film is the deposition method that ensures that the film is either metalized or vacuum coated. The next method or sputtering technology is nothing else but advanced metallization. The films that are coated with metal reflect back the heat and thus it can?t be transferred inside the car.

    DEPOSITED FILM
Aluminium, nickel chrome or copper are generally deposited on these films. It?s quite an inexpensive kind of film and we recommend this film to those who want good results at a low cost.

    SPUTTERED FILM
This is a kind of complicated technology using 25-30 metals, and thus the film becomes much lighter in comparison. This film has got higher reflective properties and that is why we recommend these films only for those cars that are used in comparatively very hot regions. Also, since these films are quite expensive, not every customer is comfortable with these.

    HYBRID FILM
As the name suggests these are the hybrid variety that brings together dyes and metals that have reflective properties. This way the performance of the film increases tremendously and the negative effects reduce. This results in non reflective bright film that is quite famous with many customers of ours.

Many a time, people come to us to get their cars tinted with the darkest film possible for the greater privacy. However, many come with a notion that darkest films reject the maximum heat. But remember it may not always be the case.

McHenry’s experts in window films advise our customers regarding the best possible film, that would look good on their vehicle and perform its task as well. Remember that a film has dual purpose of both adding an appeal to the vehicle and performing it protection duties. Until and unless you don?t opt for a film that does both the functions well, the purpose of getting window tinted is defeated.
